About the council

A civilian voice for strong sea services

The Ingleside Area Council connects the Navy League’s national mission with service members, families, schools, and communities throughout South Texas.

A tradition of service since 1902

The Navy League of the United States was founded with the encouragement of President Theodore Roosevelt. It has grown into a respected civilian organization dedicated to serving, supporting, and standing with the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and U.S.-flag Merchant Marine.

Our council turns that national purpose into local action. We focus significant time and energy on Coast Guard Sector Corpus Christi and the service members stationed throughout South Texas.

Supporting service and family

We recognize the sector’s Junior Officer, Sailor, and Junior Sailor of the Year. Our annual gathering brings active-duty personnel and their families together with the community that values their work.

Investing in tomorrow’s leaders

We support NJROTC and MCJROTC programs across South Texas, helping young people experience the values of leadership, responsibility, and service.
